From Rest Stop to Hot Springs, National Forest and BLM

The day has come to finally set sail! Although we spent our first night at a rest stop near Lake Tahoe, we did manage to improve our bed’s location the other nights. First, we stopped at the Travertine Hot Springs and this is where we met our newest friend Kate also traveling in a Sprinter van who recommended to stay at Silver Lake Campground. Then we drove to Alabama Hills a very well known rock climbing spot. This BLM site just outside of Lone Pine is worth checking out, you won’t get a better view of Mount Whitney from sunrise to sunset.
